Leadership
A Board of Directors provides the World Health Foundation with strategic leadership and financial oversight.
Rebecca Enonchong is founder and Chief Executive Officer of AppsTech, a global provider of enterprise application solutions, and co-founder of I/O Spaces, a co-working space in the Washington DC area for African diaspora entrepreneurs. She sits on the board of a number of organizations, including Afrilabs, African Business Angels Network, the United Nations Economic Commission of Africa Center for Digital Excellence and the Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Board of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
Bob Carter is chair of Carter, an international consultancy dedicated to advancing philanthropy worldwide. He was Senior Advisor for Changing Our World and Omnicom Non-profit Group and spent 26 years with the PR and Marketing Firm, Ketchum, 15 years as President and CEO.
He has been a trustee for numerous organizations, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals International, The Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and a Certified Fundraising Executive.
Dr. Nahed Taher is the founder and CEO of Gulf One Investment Bank, headquartered in Bahrain. She is an expert in Islamic finance and the first female CEO of a bank in the region, as well as founder, chairman and CEO of the financial consulting firm SEEDS.
Dr. Taher, who gained a PhD in monetary economics from Lancaster University in the UK, has served as a professor and head of the Economics Department at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and is a board member of numerous Saudi private companies and committees.
Sarah Acer currently serves as the Chief Social Impact Officer at The Lede Company. Prior to this, she led global philanthropy, corporate policy, partnerships, and campaign design for Global Citizen, the world's largest advocacy organization, focused on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
She holds a B.S. in sports medicine, an MEd in organizational change and systems improvement, and is pursuing a PhD focused on responsible leadership, policy, and impact.
Esha Gupta is a global health and international development specialist, who currently serves as Meta’s Global Programs Manager for Health. Prior to joining Meta, Esha gained experience in global health both as a technical expert, working for WHO and the Clinton Health Access Initiative for several years, and as a consultant working from KPMG and Dalberg. Esha earned a BA from Boston University and a MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Janet Kleinbaum is the Director of Marketing and Communications for ELMA Philanthropies. Janet’s extensive background in marketing and productions includes a tenure as Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Video Production for Jive Records, where she influenced some of the biggest names in music including Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Usher and P!NK.
Janet is actively involved in several charities and causes, and holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Andrew Paryzer is the director of Blue State Digital’s account management team, providing strategic leadership to a wide range of clients. Andrew has acted as program lead for highly innovative campaigns, including Dilma Rousseff’s successful campaign to become President of Brazil in 2011. Andrew began his career working on political campaigns, ranging from state legislatures races to the 2004 Presidential campaign.
Andrew grew up in New York City and earned his B.A. in European History from Pomona College.
